The International Confederation of the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul was proposed by the FEBESP (Federation of Charity, Philanthropy and Religious Institutions of the State of Sao Paulo, Brazil) in December 2007 for the Nobel Peace Prize 2008 to the Norwegian Nobel Committee in Oslo, Norway.

 

The Society was proposed for its extraordinary work over 175 years now done by over 700.000 members in over 144 countries worldwide.
